The point where art, design and science interact and how we interpret spaces involuntarily

Inspired by the light and space art movement of the 1960’s

A process characterized by (light) onto blank canvases(space) emphasizing the sublimity of light and the atmosphere it creates in the environment of which it occupies.

Using the science of daylighting, which studies light in the built environment and how it impacts our physiology and circadian rhythms, I use resin, mirrors, and light wands to mimic caustic reflections that are moved in nature by forces like water, gravity, and air. The viewer has the ability to play with the abstract, connecting directly with the ‘thingness’ of light, creating an interactive atmosphere.

‘Light Fixtures’ is my own version of creating a photograph as a space, exploring how we can experience it and manipulate it in real time while feeling the value light holds in our environment.
